DGH Services Under Threat
Unfortunately, it seems the local Hospital Trust is proposing possible downgrades of Maternity and the Emergency Heart Unit at the DGH.
Local Pharmacist and Councillor, Troy Tester said “ I am very disappointed and angry that after we all fought so hard a few years ago to retain consultant-led maternity at our hospital, the powers that be are even considering the whole issue again!”
Cllr Alan Shuttleworth added “I joined local residents in a demonstration outside the DGH recently, just before the Trust Board meeting. We all want them to understand that Langney residents will simply not accept any downgrading of core services at our local hospital”.
